Warning, and Welcome Anyway, from Danger Dave

Warning

Now seriously, folks, who doesn't blog to promote oneself and one's views, values and enterprises? A strict reading of the Blogger/Blogspot content policy would count most blogs as spam. So take warning: this blog may suddenly disappear for being too blatant in self-promotion.

Current Doings

Howbeit, I'm jamming every Monday night with the best bluegrass band in the Wisconsin River drainage, the Arkdale Ramblers. They tolerate my wandering 'cello and bowed stringbass improv because I sing pretty well and sometimes the people dance to my selections.

John Stake is patiently trying to remedy my ignorance of the genre. Jeff Sachs has mentored Lady Wife Tina in bodhran (Irish drum). For his original welcome a couple years ago I've made partial repayment by repairing some cables and mics. Snidely Whiplash has rejoined and become an important encourager of Lady Wife and me both. Sam Sticks made a crucial healing gesture yesterday when I was peace bereft and out of music.

Neighborly Invite

Bring a friend to the jam any Monday night. Adams-Friendship, Rte 13 about 1/2 hour north of the Dells, 7pm till after 9. No cover, no minimum, no profit except to the spirits of the musicians and a crowd who dance and otherwise seem to know "why music". There's a donations for musicians bucket watched over by Sherrif Lily. Pays our gas, usually.
